Passing of Dr. David Paul
On 31st July 2023 I received the sad news that my friend and colleague of 15 years, Dr. David Paul, had passed.
David was a uniquely talented mentor and a gentleman. He was a long time supporter of the IX Investor Shows and was always a welcome face on the VectorVest booth in the exhibitor hall when he wasn’t on stage delivering his powerful investor presentations to a grateful audience.
His fearless, but mature approach to life was an inspiration to anyone who was lucky enough to hear him speak. His talks dispensed wisdom and life lessons far beyond the subject at hand, and were always peppered with humorous anecdotes to help underscore serious meanings he was determined for everyone to understand.
His level of commitment and dedication to help others was unsurpassed. That he helped thousands and thousands of investors to improve their financial skills is a matter of record, and I take comfort knowing his enduring sermons on investing do’s and don’ts will continue to echo in the heads of future generations of private investors.
On a personal level, I will truly miss David’s friendship and support at the IX Shows. Previously, our years working together at VectorVest allowed me to spend a lot of time with David travelling ‘on the road’ and it wasn’t long before we realised a shared appreciation of a good pint of ale in the hotel bar!
I’ll be forever grateful he was able to meet my son, Harry, at the last IX Show. Harry listened intently to David’s talk, laughing at his ‘grown up’ jokes, and marveling at the way he commanded attention from everyone in the room – as if they’d been cast under a spell – just as I was 15 years earlier.
Gone far too soon, fondly missed already, but forever remembered and respected.
We will miss him at future IX Investor Trader Shows but will do our best to honour his memory by continuing to provide no-nonsense, practical guidance for building a wealthy portfolio of stocks and investments.

I just clicked on one of Dr. Paul’s videos today and learned of his passing. Such a great loss. I love listening to him. He taught me more than anyone about trading.
Thank you Andy
Just found out. Sad news. Enjoyed all his lectures and that impish humour. Old school and one of a kind.
Thank you Martin
